Over the river and through the woods

Well, you won't be hearing from me for a few days. Brendon and I are off to Colorado with the youth group while the girls, as you may have guessed by the title to this post, are staying with their grandparents. We are all excited, but I am nervous to leave them for such a long time!! It will be the longest ever that we have been apart. I will miss them very much.
Haddie sitting with Grandfather up at the farm and Sierra practicing her walking with Grandmother. Have a wonderful week, guys! We will miss you lots :)
If you look close, Sierra is petting a new kitten. The girls both love to pet the kitties! Haddie is asking if we can take one home. We'll see what happens...

Sisters at the Chapel

It was a special day for Melissa and Lucas, and such a joy to share in it. She was a beautiful bride and they are off for a honeymoon in the smokies!

Melissa, Heather, Haddie and I pose for pictures in the chapel.

You can't see it very well, but Haddie got a cute doll from aunt Melissa whose dress matched her own. It was darling and the most interested I have ever seen her in a doll. She is usually pretty much of a tomboy.

Sisters again...

Practice, practice, practice

Lucas and Melissa show Haddie how to drop flower petals. She was excited, but none of us really knew what to expect.

A day at the hotel

Thursday afternoon, we went to visit grandma and grandpa at their hotel room and the girls discovered some new treats.

Sierra discovered a love of mirrored closet doors.

Sierra and Haddie both had fun exploring Grandma and Grandpa's hotel room. They especially liked the bathroom for some reason. Go figure. Haddie does have big girl panties on in this picture. It is wonderful to have her potty trained. She still wears a pull up at night and nap time, but we are thrilled to be back to 1 in diapers!

Grandma and Haddie had lots of fun in the pool!

Sooo Big

Mom and daughter are both relaxing and enjoying a day in the sun.

Thanks for the new shirt, mom! Birthdays are such fun, and my wardrobe was in sad need of a lift.

Even with crumbs on her face, she is sooo cute!

Joining the digital community

For my birthday, Brendon got me a digital camera!! I have been wanting one forever, and am thrilled to finally catch the digital wave. I hope this will mean I will be able to make more frequent posts (fingers crossed). It will be so nice not to have to wait to get film back from the store. I also hope this will teach me to take better pictures, since I can do more trial and error. So, here are my first shots on the new camera...

This is Sierra in her favorite kneeling position video with Haddie's favorite video series in her hands.

Here is Haddie showing off her crocs, shoes she can put on all by herself. What a big girl. It makes getting ready so much easier, not to mention that they were a super garage sale find.

Wedding Bells

This weekend we went to my cousin, Chris' wedding and had lots of fun with family!

My uncle John has a trampoline that Haddie loved jumping on. Of course, lamby had to come too!

Grampa and Sierra play while we wait for the bride and groom to come out.

My sister Mel's fiance, Lucas blowing bubbles with Haddie. You can tell it was humid that day by looking at her hair.

Grandma too both girls on the trampoline to play. Sierra is fast catching up to her sister in size!

Walking from uncle John's to Great Grandma's house in the wagon.

What a cutie pie! This is one of Sierra's favorite faces to make. She is always sucking in her bottom lip.
